A meandering path was the solution to make this sloping front yard wheel chair accessible and to create a journey to enjoy the garden along the way. The clients love a variety of flowering plants, hoping for four seasons of flowers. The spring colour palate are pastels with blues and whites, while the summer colours are hot reds, oranges and yellows. Berries, fall foliage and grasses carry this garden through the fall and winter. Lighting in the front walls and steps highlight the path. Up-lighting in the mature Japanese maples really emphasis the architecture of those beautiful trees. In the back yard, 30 year old wisteria drapes over an arbour above bamboo and shade perennials. Underneath is a soft-sounding water wall, with tile that matches the new feature wall for the BBQ, which enhances the cozy feeling of the enclosed back yard patio.
