FLAGSTONE GARDEN
This space was made for entertaining a large family. There is dining space in the front for 4-6 people, and in the back for 8 more. The flagstone-like brick was chosen for its Mediterranean feel, which suits the client and the home. The planting involves the elegant contrast between burgundy foliage and medium greens, while pops of lilies and rudbeckia provide summer floral interest. Fragrant winter daphne and camellias show well in the winter and are visible from the kitchen and living rooms in the house. The strong boulder border keeps the patio clean and separated from garden bed. New irrigation, including to all pots, make this garden quite easy to maintain year-round.
